I have been guiding on Big green lake the last 2 weeks with great success for smallmouth bass and blue gills as well . We have been fishing in about 18 fetet of water and the bait of choice has been colored hooks and night crawlers for live bait. The fishing tip for the day was keeping your bait at 6 inches off the bottom. Both the bass in the pics. were 4 pounders and 18 1.2 inches long.
