We have been walleye fishing on Lake puckaway the last few times out. Fishing on the river has been a good bite the last week and half with fish being caught on jigs and also on split shot rigs tipped with night crawlers and minnows. Locating the fish in relation to spwning areas was the key for the week. Some of the bigger females were hard yet and some were all ready spawned out as well. Some of the days when fish were more aggressive verticle jigging was hot using heavier jigs.
